Mathilde and Stéphane, 8th generation winemakers at Domaine de la Grenaudière, focus on maintaining tradition while producing quality dry white wines. The wine estate is in the heart of the Muscadet appellation. Located between the Sèvre and Maine rivers on granite terroirs, the Domaine de la Grenaudière produces 100% Melon de Bourgogne wines.
Process:
Grenaudière Phénomène Melon du Bourgogne is made traditionally in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on lees for 6 months before being dealcoholized.
The alcohol is removed by vacuum distillation, preserving the natural aromas and quality. No artificial aromas are added to the wine.
Tasting Notes:
Phénomène is the first dealcoholized Melon de Bourgogne wine. Extremely low in sugar (1.4g/100ml), this is also a fantastic option for those looking for a low-sugar alternative to a nightly glass of Pinot Grigio. Expect notes of citrus and honeydew melon, with high minerality, and a refreshing salinity.
Best Enjoyed:
The perfect food wine! Pair with seafood, soft cheeses, and pomme frites.
