Process

Sober Spirits Rum begins its journey in the French Caribbean, where it is traditionally distilled at 65% ABV. It then travels to Grasse, France, known as the world’s perfume capital, where the alcohol is gently removed, leaving a spirit with 0.0% ABV. The extracted ethanol is sustainably repurposed for use in high-end perfumery.

The rum is then brought to a historic distillery in the heart of France, established in 1875. Here, it is redistilled in century-old pot stills with French oak bark, a process that deepens and matures its flavour profile. This technique preserves the complexity, smooth texture, and long finish of aged rum, without any alcohol or added sugar.
